'Modified Goddess' is Kaishandao's first release of the year — a cheeky double shot of mid-tempo bops for the new era.

Inspired by dancefloor delirium, collective confusion and sped-up yoga videos, these tracks channel offbeat, house-infused grooves into a swift 10-minute exercise.

Now almost two years since Homeland was graced with a vinyl release via New Noise, Kaishandao reloads her weapons of choice (Machinedrum, Octatrack) for this latest release.

Title track 'Modified Goddess' sets the vibe with her sassy, silly, yet sensual half-utterances — decapitated samples meet machine-mangled acapellas, while a 4-to-the-floor rhythm is given the machete crossfader treatment.

'Return to Warp Room' is a toast to the carefree Playstation days of yore — lush pads snuggle with floating voices, as a deep pulsing kick and perky percs protrude through cascading waterfalls of delay.

Breathe deep, and open through the chest.
